The Swiss Chapter was founded in 2020 and started its work in 2023 (due to a delay caused by Corona). Our goal is to promote the digitisation in Swiss cultural heritage by facilitating professional discourse between the various disciplines, institutions, and language areas in Switzerland as well as connecting them with the international community. To this end, we invite to annual thematic meetings, provide an exchange platform for existing and new interest groups, and act as a point of contact for computer-based applications in archaeological teaching, research, and practice.
Das Schweizer Kapitel wurde 2020 gegründet und nahm seine Arbeit 2023 auf (aufgrund einer durch Corona verursachten Verzögerung). Unser Ziel ist es, die Digitalisierung des Schweizer Kulturerbes zu fördern, indem wir den fachlichen Diskurs zwischen den verschiedenen Disziplinen, Institutionen und Sprachräumen in der Schweiz ermöglichen und sie mit dem internationalen Umfeld verbinden. Zu diesem Zweck laden wir zu jährlichen thematischen Tagungen ein, bieten eine Austauschplattform für bestehende und neue Interessengruppen und fungieren als Anlaufstelle für computergestützte Anwendungen in der archäologischen Lehre, Forschung und Praxis.
Le chapitre suisse a été créé en 2020 et a commencé ses activités en 2023 (en raison d’un retard causé par Corona). En facilitant le discours professionnel entre les différentes disciplines, institutions et zones linguistiques en Suisse et en les reliant à la communauté internationale, notre objectif est d’encourager la numérisation du patrimoine culturel suisse. C’est pour ça que nous invitons à des réunions thématiques annuelles, nous offrons une plateforme d’échange aux groupes d’intérêt existants et nouveaux et nous fonctionnons comme un point de contact pour l’enseignement, la recherche et la pratique en archéologie numérique.
