CAA Poland

CAA PL is the Polish chapter of the CAA International, which brings together archaeologists, mathematicians and computer scientists. The aim of the CAA is to create a communication platform for dialogue between these disciplines, which also serves as a venue for the presentation of fieldwork results and a forum for discussion. During the annual international conference, researchers have the opportunity to present the results of their work, and the conference covers a range of topics such as 3D reconstruction, data visualization in archaeology, geophysical methods and GIS (caaconference.org).Last year, after a break due to the pandemic, we organised a CAA PL conference in cooperation with the GIS Forum of the University of Warsaw.

CAA PL jest polskim oddziałem CAA International, łączącej archeologów, matematyków i informatyków. Celem CAA jest stworzenie platformy komunikacji umożliwiającej nawiązanie dialogu pomiędzy tymi dyscyplinami, która jest również miejscem prezentacji wyników pracy polowej oraz forum dyskusyjnym. Podczas corocznej, międzynarodowej konferencji naukowcy mają możliwość prezentacji wyników swojej pracy, a jej zakres tematyczny obejmuje szereg zagadnień, takich jak rekonstrukcja 3D, wizualizacja danych w archeologii, metody geofizyczne i GIS (caaconference.org). W ostatnim roku, po przerwie związanej z pandemią, zorganizowaliśmy konferencję CAA PL we współpracy z Forum GIS Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego.
